Anishinabe Bii-Gii-Wiin ("The People Coming Home" in the Ojibwe Language

Anishinabe Bii-Gii-Wiin Concept
Background: The concept of housing for the working homeless began
several years ago with a Ventura Village resident observing
people living under bridges getting up each day and going to
work. The name “Anishinabe Bii-Gii-Wiin” translates to
“People Coming Home” in Ojibwe and was given to the
project by a group of Ojibwe women. AICDC has used the
concept of the past, the reality of today and the vision of the
future in its development concept.
